I recently got a new phone and I haven't signed into YouTube yet and this is the homepage.
Almost all the videos are AI generated, and all (except 3) are misinformation.
YouTube simply does not care if a video is misinformation or not, all they care about is getting the attention coins.
"Brain rot" is quickly taking over the internet. It encourages people to shut off their brain and let AI do all the thinking. This is a clear danger to society. How will we elect a good president when everyone just starts asking AI who they should vote for?
Move to platforms that have not been taken over by AI content (like Mastodon or Lemmy )
Weather you know it or not you most likely follow the 8+8+8 rule. In practice 8 hours is taken up by social media...you realise that? All you do is work, browse social media, and sleep.
Well no shit we are all so unhappy with our lives.
Elon Musk is well known for censoring twitter users .
And Reddit has been banning subreddits for being "unmoderated" by that they mean the mods wont work (for free) eight hours a day banning posts critical of said censorship.
Subreddits like r/rape and r/self-harm (both dedicated to helping people) are kept on thin ice but subreddits such as r/rape██████ and r/gay███████fuck are allowed to spread (hopefully fake) videos of rape.
Start your own website. (Websites are way harder to censor)
Privacy no longer exists.
Google openly collects information such as: the apps you have installed, "voice
and audio information", "people you communicate with", the Wi-Fi you are connected to.
Oh BTW the Chinese social credit system collects a fraction of that.
